Morzine, French Alps
Escape to a tranquil pocket of the French Alps for a soulful and immersive art retreat designed for both experienced artists and curious beginners. Nestled in the village of Morzine, our centrally located cosy apartments, and chalet studio space offer the perfect setting to reconnect with nature, recharge your creative energy, and explore new artistic techniques in an intimate and supportive atmosphere. You will also have the chance to work in the artists studio next to the medieval town of Yvoire on the shores of Lake Geneva where there will be the opportunity to sketch and paint the lake views.
The retreat is personally guided by experienced watercolour artist Philippa Langrish, whose work is sold internationally. With many years of experience teaching art to both adults and children, Philippa creates a relaxed, inspiring and supportive environment where guests can explore their creativity and develop their own artistic style
Over the course of four gently-paced days, you'll be guided through watercolour plein air painting sessions and inspired sketch walks through hidden alpine meadows, forest trails, and charming mountain viewpoints that only locals know. Whether you're capturing shifting mountain light on canvas or carving into a fresh lino block, every moment invites deeper connection with the landscape and your own artistic voice.
Between sessions, unwind in the comfort of your own apartment, share nourishing meals made with seasonal ingredients, and let the silence of the alps work its quiet magic.
